When I started this little blog I had no idea anyone besides my family and friends would be interested in what I do at home with my girls. I can not tell you how much it still surprises me that you are all out there reading this (haha!) but YOU inspire and motivate ME to do more, to think outside the box, to continue sharing. For that I thank YOU.

Writing a blog is time consuming. I'm sure you know that. I lose sleep writing posts at night when my Lil Divas are safely tucked in their beds. Yet, I honestly enjoy it. I LOVE sitting down and putting photos together that showcase the fun we had. I LOVE seeing their little faces in the pictures - happy, excited, in serious concentration, etc... That is my reward for taking the time to work with my girls and I wouldn't trade it for anything. That you enjoy it too, well that's the icing on the cake. :)

So today on this final day of the contest,

I not only wanted to beg for your votes one last time

(because let's be real - I am total doing that too!)

I Would Like to Thank the Academy......

Gosh, I am so suprised and I don't have my speech prepared as I was awarded not one but 2 Blog Awards over the last few days! :) (You really, really LIKE me - HaHa!)

This really put a smile on my face which has been no easy feat because I am still sick - YUCK! I just can't shake this thing and the girls are still lingering with sickness too! Looks like we need a return trip to the doctor. I would launch a full scale cleaning attack on our germ infested home but I am simply too tired! :(

So back to the awards -

The 1st Award is the ever so SWEET

Irresistably Sweet Blog Award which was given to me by Dizzy C over at Dixxy C's Little Book Blog! If you haven't stopped by her book loving blog - head on over! She never disappoints!

To accept this award I have to pass it along to six other bloggers and I must confess to four guilty pleasures (YIKES)

1. Reality TV - I am addicted! There's just somehting about watching other people come unraveled that I find comforting! Is that bad? HaHa! Just kidding but really I can't help but watch - it fascinates me!

    2.  SWEETS - candy, baked goods, chocolate, ice cream - you name it and I LOVE it!  

    3.  The Internet -  I am up all hours of the night blogging (my new found addiction) and reading other  blogs, searching the internet, etc... I sneak on every chance I get and that includes getting my emails and updates on real time on my mobile phone! Can you say - ADDICTED!

    4.  Shopping - it's most often for my girls and not myself but I LOVE it! All those adorable outfits and accessories - I just can't help myself - they look so darn cute!

To formally accept this award I have to pass it along to 15 other bloggers and I must give 7 interesting tidbits about myself .

1. I studied psychology in college in the hopes of being a school psychologist but once I graduated and started teaching IN THE CLASSROOM I fell in love with it. After taking a few classes towards my Masters degree in School Psychology - I switched gears and abandoned it knowing it wasn't where my heart was! I never looked back.  I LOVE being a teacher and it's what I will go back to once my girls are in school full time in the next few years!

2. I am afraid to ride a bike. I fell off a bike when I was young and got a wire (from a fence) stuck in my leg and was traumatized by the incident to the point that I did not ride again! I encourage my girls to ride but I won't do it! :)

3. I never really learned to swim - I can do it enough not to drown but I am pretty bad! My girls are getting lessons from now so they won't end up like me!

4. Seeing someone brush their teeth makes me nauseous - especially if they let the foam gather all over their mouth - I am nauseous just writing this as I think about it! I battle this everyday as I help my girls brush their teeth - my least favorite Mom job!

5. I love vampire/faery/supernatural type books - especially romance ones! It's a weakness of mine!

6. I love cinnamon - especially in baked goods! I could go for a warm cinnamon roll with cream cheese icing right now!

7. I hate my hair! It's a cross between curly/wavy and stringy! I wish I had my Lil Diva's hair - I have serious hair envy!

My First Blog Award!

Talk about having a good morning - I woke up this morning and found that I had been awarded the Stylish Blogger Award by not 1 but 2 bloggers yesterday! Can you say AWESOME!!!!

Thank you so much to Toes That Twinkle (I have serious nail polish envy - you must check out her collection!) and Debbie over at Thrifty and Frugal  (she spreads the word about great deals - definitely take time to check out her blog!)

It's so nice to have my lil blog recognized and have the word spread about me! Can you tell I am super excited! :)

Now to pick 7 things about me to share, hmmmm.......:

1. I am a serious bookworm - I LOVE books - I have loved to read since I was a little girl when I would strain my eyes to read hidden in bed by the barely there light of the moon coming in my bedroom window! Not much has changed - I can still be found reading late into the night. Once I start a book and it grabs me I will go without sleep to finish - can't help myself! :)

2. I HATE onions - yes hate is a strong word, but really I do hate them! The smell, the taste, the burn to my eyes - not my idea of fun! My husband loves them so I am forced to cook them for him sometimes & I SUFFER! See what I do for love, he has no idea!

3. I am not tidy (just ask my husband) - I leave things all around the house in random piles so that I can get to them easily and it drives him nuts! He wants things out of sight - I want them within reach and within my sight (so I remember what I wanted to do!)

4. Since having my girls I am a Night Owl (aka a horrible sleeper). I am up way too late at night surfing the internet, reading or just watching tv. I get this second wind right around 9pm and am up till after midnight. I try to lay down and my mind thinks of a million things I forgot to do or need to do and well - no sleep!

5. I am afraid to be alone in my house! I have pretty much always been a chicken - needed to sleep with my back to a wall, all dorrs closed, etc.... It's pretty much followed me into adulthood - I can not take a shower when the hubby is working late and not envision that scene from Psycho and think someone is about to kill me! Talk about speed showers! lol!

6. I love Sweet Tarts - they are horrible for your teeth, it's like ingesting purse sugar but they are a serious weakness! I always have some hidden away!

7. I am addicted to Mystery/Thrillers - books & shows. I love trying to uncover the mystery and figure out who did it and why before the end! I am pretty good too if I may so myself!

Ok, that was 7 - not so bad! Hope you learned a bit more about me that I hadn't previously shared!
