Halloween Fun - Sensory BOO Bottles for Kids

The other day I spotted a few empty water bottles in our house and thought I would use them in a fun way with the Lil Divas. I had just bought some Halloween confetti for my preschool class so I thought we could make some fun sensory bottles with them.

I gathered our supplies - empty water bottles, Halloween confetti, mini plastic spiders, small wiggly eyes, glitter, water and food coloring. Then, I invited the Lil Divas over to create some BOO Bottles.

We filled our water bottles with some water and I let the Lil Divas decide what color they wanted for their water - they both chose orange. Then they had free reign to put small Halloween themed items into their bottles.

Wiggly eyes and glitter were definite favorites. Some of the items floated and others sunk down to the bottom. When the bottles were shaken or turned upside everything moved around - making for a nice visual experience. 

The glitter gives a nice snow globe effect when shaken. At first I thought they had added too much glitter but it really looks neat when shaken. The wiggly eyes turned out to be my favorite additions as well because they gave the bottle a spooky but fun look.

For younger children, I recommend taping the top shut so that they don't open the bottle and dump it's contents. Since these bottles call for small pieces - please be sure to supervise children accordingly.

These were so easy to make and I know they would be fun for kids of all ages.
