8 Years Ago Today

You know that saying "life can change in an instant"?
It's 100% true.

My life was forever changed 8 years ago
when I held my baby girl for the first time.

This tiny baby stole my heart and it is now forever intertwined with hers.

In the past 8 years, my world has been completely transformed.
You think you know what it means to love someone.
Then you hold this tiny being in your arms
and the love you feel is more powerful that anything else.

I'm so proud to be your Mom.
You are a free spirit who loves to sing and dance.
Our house is always filled with the sounds of your made-up songs.
I love listening in as you come up with your latest lyrics.

You are shy around people you do not know
but once you are comfortable with someone
you have no problem letting them in.

You adore your family and you are a wonderful big sister.
Your sister is lucky to have you looking out for her.

You are intelligent, witty and curious.
When you are motivated, nothing can stop you.

You're kindhearted and generous and would stay with nothing
if it meant giving someone else what they need.

You fill my heart with joy.
I hope you know that each and every day of your life.

Happy 8th Birthday Baby Girl.

I Love you!
xoxo Mommy

Bye, Bye Baby - Hello Big Girl! The Littlest Diva turns 6

Today my Littlest Diva turns 6. It is a bittersweet day for me. I am proud of the girl she has become and it fills me with pride to watch her grow. Yet, I am sad to see those baby days moving behind us.

Over the past year she entered (& rocked!) Kindergarten, learned how to read and developed a fondness for Junie B. Jones. She lost her first tooth, learned to ride a scooter and rode her bike minus training wheels.  She was addicted to nail polish, adored bracelets, the color pink and all things sparkly. She favors dresses and skirts over pants, became a pro at tying shoe laces and is fond of texting on any phones or devices she can get her hands on. She is a loving, loud, feisty and free-spirited little girl.  We love her more than mere words can ever express and I marvel at the fact that she is mine.

Happy 6th birthday baby girl. Your sweet smile, funny ways, diva antics and sparkling personality make you shine.  May you always feel as happy, loved, hopeful and confident as you do at this stage in your life. You enjoy each and every day to the fullest and you embrace all that life has to offer. Thank you for add so much energy, joy and love to my life.  It's an honor and a blessing to be your mom. Remember that you will always be my "baby" - no matter how old you are!

With Love,
Your Mom

6 Years Ago Today, I Became a Mom

6 years ago today, I became a Mom.
6 years ago today, my world changed.
6 years ago today, this precious gift came into my life.

The last 6 years have been an adventure.
I have laughed and I have cried.
I have felt inadequate
and I have felt fear.
I have felt happiness & hope
but most of all I have felt LOVE.

I have learned so much in the last 6 years,
about myself,
about life,
about love,
about being a Mom.

I look forward to the future.
I look forward to seeing how this precious life unfolds.
Happy 6th Birthday Big Girl!
I am so proud of the wonderful person you are.
Your sweet smile brightens our days.
I love you more than I ever thought possible.
It is an honor to be your Mom.

Wordless Wednesday w/Linky - The Princess turns 4

If you read my post yesterday you know my baby girl turned 4 and I am actually quite sad about it. If you missed it (how dare you!) please click here - you won't be sorry - baby cuteness to the max, I promise!

The Lil Diva is my girly girl - she LOVES all things pink, sparkly & princess related so what else would we do but have a Princess makeover Party for her birthday!

Her party was held at our local Sweet & Sassy and it was beyond adorable! As the girls arrived they were taken into a dress-up room to pick out Princess dresses.

Once dressed they were seated for hair, make-up & nails - what pampering!

Once all the Princess were primped, pampered & ready to party - they turned on the music (The Lil Diva picked Justin Bieber of course!) and danced to the cutest choreography (which was all staff led)!

After all the fun dancing & learning of cool new moves the Princesses went on a parade around the store. Then they enjoyed some limbo time! :)

After all that excitement the princesses were rushed behind the curtains as all the moms sat & waited for them to be "announced" and crowned in the Princess Coronation ceremony! Could it get any cuter?

The Party ended with lunch, cake & a few more party type games!

My Lil Princess was so happy & all the girls and moms could not stop raving about the party!

It was a Perfect Princess Day!

What are you sharing for your WW this week? I'd love to peek!

No More Babies & Yes, I am Shedding Tears Over It!

Well, it's official - I don't have babies anymore (unless the hubby wants another asap, lol!)!

My baby isn't a "baby" anymore - today she turns 4 years old and according to her she is a "big girl"!

It seems as if it were a mere blink of the eyes ago that they were laying this tiny little baby girl on top of me and I was "meeting" her for the first time. Now she is this beautiful big girl - so full of life, spunk and love!

I am blessed to be her Mom. Watching her grow is an honor and a privilege - I don't take a moment of this for granted.

I am so proud to be her Mom. She has such a sparkly personality - you can't help but fall in love with her. She is smart, fiery, funny, super girly and so full of love - she is truly our lil cuddle bear!

I actually cried tonight thinking that I put my 3 year old to bed for the last time and when she wakes up tomorrow - my "baby" will be 4!

All I want to know is where has the time gone? And who the heck said it could go this fast!

I still remember this little precious pink baby like it was just yesterday!

She grew before our very eyes & that first year flew by in a blink.

It might have been the severe lack of sleep that made it seem more like one big long day versus 365 of them but honestly - it was gone before I knew it!

It seemed as if over night she was 2 and really coming into herself. We were lucky she never had a terrible 2's but .....................

She definitely made up for lost time at 3! Oh, don't let the sweet, innocent little face fool you!

She is one fiery little Diva!

Yet, we wouldn't have her any other way!

At 3 she developed a love for all things pink and sparkly - of course that means lip gloss and jewelry and LOTS of it!

She deemed shorts and pants of any kind unwearable and fancied herself a Princess!

She started ballet and preschool and way too quickly went from being our baby to being a big girl.

and now she is 4 and although she is definitely not a baby anymore - she will always be my baby!

I look forward to what this year will bring.

To simply taking the time & enjoying all these moments which pass by way too quickly.

Happy 4th Birthday to our Lil Princess!
I know you are a big girl now but you will always & forever be my baby.

With Love, Hugs, Kisses & even a few Tears,
Mommy
