What a summer vacation!

  1. I've heard great things about visiting & buying property in Croatia. My family spent a few months in Italy this year, just a boat ride across the Adriatic from Croatia. I'd love to go!

    1. Rebekah, yes! They were able to do everything we wanted to do (hike up mountains, etc) and they were so amazed and interested in all the history and information. It was wonderful. My youngest took her own set of photos and we were amazed at what she found memorable. I want to make a photo book for her so she can always remember - Croatia through the eyes of a 5yr old! :)

  4. Bern, your pictures are amazing! We are still there now and loving it, too! We are on Krk and heading to Plitivicka on Saturday for a couple of days - looking forward to that, we've never been there before. Your pictures of it look so inviting! So glad you had such a great holiday! x (If you go again, let me know - maybe we can coordinate and meet up!)

    1. We were in Croatia for a little over 2 weeks. My husband has family there so we mostly went sight seeing ourselves/with family but we did do 2 tourist excursions (to Kornati and the Lakes/Waterfall). There was still so much we didn't see. We hope to go back in a few years and explore some more of the country. Have you been? Thinking of going?

    3. Oh, I would highly recommend the experience. My only regret is that we never made it further out to Dubrovnik but there will be a next time, so that is on our To Do List. The have some wonderful National Parks, the sea is amazing, breathtaking sunsets, mountains all around (my girls were thoroughly amazed bc we do not have mountains in FL) and lots and lots of delicious homemade ice cream - it was sinfully delicious! A tour would be lovely because you will see all the highlights. :)

  6. Wow! I was scrolling through Google Reader and this caught my eye. Why? Because this is where I live!!! You were at Plitvicka jezera??? I am like 1/2 hour away from there. I wish I would have known! :) anyway - I love all those places. The Sea is so lovely and there is so much history here. I have lived here for almost 10 years and I still can't get over the beauty that is Croatia. :) I am glad you had a wonderful time.
