Being a DIY Mom is Easy with Delta In2ition #WomansIn2ition

Disclaimer: I am participating in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Delta Faucets. I received a product sample and promotional item as a thank you for participating.

We have been enjoying our Delta In2ition Shower Head for over a month and it's been wonderful! I honestly think that my husband enjoys it the most. Want to know why? I think it's because he didn't have to lift a finger for our new shower head. He gets to simply enjoy it without any fuss or work having gone in to its actual installation.

Confession time: We aren't big DIY'ers. Even little projects end up being "big" projects around here. My husband might not be too happy about me admitting this but he is not an overly handy guy. He can put together a bookcase, a crib, a doll house and even our old shower head but it takes him a l-o-n-g time and it is never without stress, mistakes or even some broken/damaged pieces. Handy - he simply is not (sorry honey)!

When I accepted this Ambassadorship from Delta, I was both excited and nervous. I was excited about getting a much needed new shower head, (check out my previous yucky shower head here.) but nervous because I had to do the installation myself. ME! I have never had to install a shower head before.

When I opened the package I was excited to see that the number of pieces was minimal. After reading the directions, I was encouraged. The installation process seemed simple enough. I found myself thinking, "Hey, I can do this!". So when my husband asked me if I needed his help, I put on my game face and declined. This Mama was determined to DO-IT-MYSELF.

Guess what happened? I DID IT! I installed the Delta In2ition Shower Head all by myself with minimal fuss and in just a few quick minutes. Really! I even have proof for those of you thinking it just can't be that easy. Check it out here because it really was "that easy" -

How simple was that? A few steps, no tools and our new shower was up and ready to use. This is my kind of DIY project. Let me just say that if I can do it - anyone can do it. Delta really makes it easy. Not only can I appreciate that I have a great new shower head (more on that in our 3rd and final post) but it felt really good to put it up myself. To be able to do it easily, in minimal time  and without assistance, stress or damages felt awesome! It has inspired me not to be so afraid hesitant about moving forward with some other much needed renovations and projects.

Are you a DIY'er? What types of projects do you tackle in your home? or Are you a hesitant DIY'er, like me? Afraid to take on projects for fear that it will all go wrong? What projects do you have waiting on your "To Do" List that you have been too afraid to tackle?

If you are thinking about bathroom renovations be sure to check out and connect with Delta via Facebook,TwitterPinterest and Instagram

Happy Showering,
Bern

  1. Well done, you're a real DIY'er now. I'm a pretty handy DIY'er...when the right project comes along. BTW, your bathroom tiles are so shiny...well done there too!

  3. Lovely shower head! I have my husband take care of most of the DIY projects - thankfully, he is pretty handy. Some things I'll try on my own though.
